named after a street in the u.k, this was our first home in australia. a solid brown brick house with a blue trim on a hill. this is the place where our family grew to four. it was a joyous and busy time. after being overseas for a few years it was nice to come home to australia, to where we felt comfortable and able to spend time with our extended families, old and new friends. raising babies is a very absorbing occupation so i needed to incorporate some art into my existence. i was able to run a life-drawing class called the pennant hills drawing group for a couple of years. it was an exceptional group of artists, we encouraged each other and most of all enhanced our drawing skills. i was a valiant member of the hornsby art society and participated in many group shows during these years. most of all I was glad to be home from america. as that old saying goes; ‘there’s no place like home’.
